BERKUNJUNG ke Perlis tidak lengkap tanpa mengunjungi Taman Ular dan Reptilia Negeri Perlis yang terletak kira-kira 10 kilometer dari bandar Kangar.
Sejarah bermula pada 1978 apabila Kementerian Kesihatan membangunkan sebuah pusat penyelidikan bagi menghasilkan penawar bisa ular.
Pada 1995, ia diambil alih Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perlis dan dikomersialkan sebagai tarikan pelancongan.
Terdapat lebih 200 ular dari 54 spesies dalam dan luar negara di sini, antaranya jarang ditemui seperti Rattlesnake, "ular rusuk kerbau" dan "ular katam payung".
Di sini juga terdapat haiwan lain seperti biawak air, iguana, dan kura-kura selain buaya tembaga dan burung unta yang menjadi tarikan pengunjung.
Taman ini sering menjadi tempat bagi mengadakan pertunjukan ular antarabangsa termasuk ular tedung dan ular sawa.
Taman yang dikelilingi bukit batu kapur dan Hutan Simpan Bukit Bintang ini bukan saja memberi banyak manfaat ilmu berkaitan ular tetapi alam semula jadi.
Selepas mengunjungi taman ular ini, anda boleh bersantai atau mandi manda di air terjun Sungai Batu Pahat yang terletak berhadapan taman itu.
Taman yang terbesar di Asia Tenggara dan diiktiraf dalam buku Malaysia Book of Records ini dibuka setiap hari dari jam 9 pagi hingga 6 petang.
Tiket RM 4 dikenakan kepada orang dewasa manakala kanak-kanak dikenakan RM1.
Di samping taman ular, pelawat berpeluang melawat ladang anggur, ladang herba dan pusat pembiakan lebah yang terletak berdekatan antara satu sama lain.

After visiting the snake park, you can relax or swim in the waterfall shower Batu Pahat River fronting the park.
